Mike Bruce (pen name) works as a construction inspector; his art activities are a passion done on a part time basis at the present time. He has skills that cross many trade lines and is experienced with many materials. Mike is unconventional and unique in his designs. During the past thirty years there were periods of time when Mike's art was his primary, full time job. Abstract metal and plastic sculpture are his main media. Mike Bruce has had apprentices work with him. His many years in the construction industry, as an inspector, have put him in common/typical situations of confrontation with workers and contractors, regularly exposing their "human nature." Mike is an astute observer of human behavior. His insights into personalities of famous persons are translated, artistically, into the plunger designs from both his mind and hands. Catharsis PlungersTM reveal much about Mike Bruce.
